我們收到不少詢問關於連線問題的來信，因為這些疑問都很相似，我們在此將常見的問題整理出來並回答
Q. 請問大家收聽我的電台都會斷斷續續的，這是為什麼?
A. 通常這種情況主要是來自DJ的網路環境問題，因為我們的主機設在美國，而我們的音質目前設定在128kbps，換算是16KB/second，因此如果當您連到我們的伺服器，上傳速度不足16KB/second，就會造成大家都會斷斷續續，可以想像一下DJ是餐廳裡的廚師，而聽眾是客人，當DJ上菜太慢，而大家吃的速度比上菜快，於是大家都會處於肌餓的狀態，這就是造成大家斷斷續續的原因。
Q. 請問我的網路是10M的，這樣為什麼播電台還是會lag?
A. 事實上電信公司所標榜的數字10M或是其它的數字，都是指用戶的電腦到他們提供的網路的理論上極限速度，也就是說，那速度只是你到他之間可能的最快速度，而我們的主機在美國，所以經過你的電腦到電信商之間雖然可能可以達到理論數值10M，但是因為到了他們那裡之後，他們還得連向美國，通常問題都出在這一段，可以想像一下一個社區裡面的道路都是高速公路，但是聯外道路卻是一條鄉間小道，如果你的目的在社區以外的地方，大家都會塞在那條鄉間小道上，通常常見會遇到都是這種情況。
Q. 請問為什麼只有特定時段播電台會lag?
A. 如上面所說的，如果你的電信商連外頻寬太小，到了晚上等大家上網的時間，這時那些對外的線路被塞暴，自然會造成在這段期間內會斷續，甚至會斷線，除此之外，因為大多數的網路環境都是共用的，例如在外租的房子，通常都是整棟共用一條線路，因此如果有其它住戶使用P2P軟體，或是使用PPS看網路電視，都有可能因此造成整棟樓對外的連線阻塞，因此網路延遲的情況有可能會在任何時候發生。
Q. 為什麼我收聽電台會斷斷續續的?
A. 斷續有三種可能的情況，一種是如上面提到的，DJ上傳速度太慢，第二種是聽眾下載速度太慢，而第三種是我們的伺服器負載過重，但是依我們的觀察，大部份時間大多數電台都能正常運作，除了偶發的伺服器的問題造成集體斷線，除此之外沒有見過負載過重到所有人都會delay的情況發生。
Q. 什麼樣的網路環境收聽會延遲?
A. 常見會無法收聽或是播送的網路環境，像是學術網路就是其中一種，如果你是在學校上網，因為學術網路聯外頻寬極小，因此很容易就造成網路延遲的問題，還有另一種情況是使用某些電信商他們的聯外頻寬不足也會造成連線延遲的問題，我們統計了回報Mr.DJ連線會斷線或是延遲的電信商，我們得到一個結果指出，使用和信多媒體(Giga超媒體)的使用者佔大部份

除此之外還有一些其它的電信商也在回報的列表中，如果有遇到斷續或是一直斷線的情況，請向這些電信商反應，如果沒有改善的話，最好的解決的方法就是換一家電信商。

Q. 我的聊天室開不起來，請問是什麼原因?
A. 我們統計所有聊天室開不起來的回報，全數使用的瀏覽器都是IE7.0，我們的網站在IE6.0、IE8.0、FireFox、Chrome下都可以正常運作，唯獨沒有測試IE7.0，而IE系列瀏覽器是以極度危險和眾多缺陷以及落後聞名的，為了有良好的收聽經驗，我們推薦改用Google的Chrome瀏覽器

We received some suggestion from users, they hope the Mr.DJ can support playing AAC (.m4a) audio files. Indeed, Mr.DJ supports AAC audio files. Unfortunately, due to the licensing problem, we can’t redistribute the module with Mr.DJ directly. But however, you can download it and install into Mr.DJ manually. You can download the module bass_aac24. Once you done, unzip the bass_aac.dll to the directory mrdj.1.0.xplugins, and restart Mr.DJ. Then you can now play m4a files with Mr.DJ. Following is a figure demonstrates how to do.

Notice:
Per to the license of BASS_ACC, it is not legal to redistribute Mr.DJ with the BASS_ACC plugin, for example, you shall not pack Mr.DJ with BASS_ACC together and upload them on Internet, let others download it.

There were already some free softwares for building an online radio stations, e.g. SHOUTCast and Icecast. But however, it is still not an easy job for common computer users to setup those software and build a station. Also, the bandwidth is also a limitation. Today, I am going to introduce a new web service which can solve these problems, anyone has no any technology background can build an online radio station and become a DJ within just few minute. And the most important thing is,
It is totally free!

Step1. Register an account
Go to the register form page. Fill your name, email and password, then click register.
Once you have done, you will received an e-mail which contains an activate link. Click the link, and your account is activated.
Step2. Download the Mr.DJ
Go to the download page and download the latest version of Mr.DJ. You might ask “What is Mr.DJ?”, the answer is it is a program that can let you send the audio to your listeners. You don’t have to install it, just unzip the directory and click mrdj.exe.
Now click the “Login” button on left-top and type your username and password.
Step3. Broadcast to the world
Here you are! Now you can open your radio page. It looks like this.

Now you can broadcast your music to world, you can also talk to your listeners. There is a chat room in your radio page, you can interact with your listeners! That’s it! Super easy isn’t it? What are you waiting for? Build a radio station, and broadcast to the world!
